Ancient Egypt presented by the Society for the Study of Egyptian Antiquities in LaSalle

The Society for the Study of Egyptian Antiquities (SSEA) organized, in collaboration with the Bureau of Cultural and Educational Affairs – Consulate General of Egypt, an afternoon on Ancient Egypt where Dr. Nebal El Tanbouly, Consul of Cultural and Educational Affairs, spoke of Modern Egypt. Christine Ebrahim, coordinator of cultural activities also held a booth to answer questions of visitors. Dr. Sherif Khashana, coordinator of scientific research, was also present at the event.

For the occasion, Member of Parliament Mrs. Lise Zarac and Mayor of LaSalle borough, Mrs. Manon Barbe, attended the event. Various booths were held to explain subjects such as hieroglyphics, stones used in ancient Egypt and Egyptian jewelry.

As well, visitors were able to take pictures with people who were costumed as Pharaoh and Nefertari.
